Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas day in the Johnson household. Christmas is always a great time of the year for me. I love it.  This year was even better. My 12 year old is not about the Christmas life anymore. He would rather have the money. Now how boring is that. But now I have a 1 year old to shop for and boy did I have a good time doing that. Paige loves Mickey and Minnie so her wrapping paper and many of her toys were Mickey Mouse Clubhouse related. She got the typical educational toys (Ereader and Learning Tablet) along with clothes, shoes, and musical instruments. Her favorite toy by far seems to be her Mickey Rider. She loves this thing but I am scared out of my mind. It is nothing for Paige to ride and let go ... or get unfocused. Afterwards we went to dinner at my dad's house. Overall great time! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Photos

It's that time again ..... Christmas pictures! Last year we all wore various shades of red. We took our pictures at Walmart.  This year we went with shades of green. I found Paige's dress first for $12. It was gorgeous and screamed CHRISTMAS! I snatched it up a green tie for Jalen and found a green sweater for myself. We went to the mall and had pictures taken with Santa.

It was really weird. I guess in hindsight maybe only Paige should have taken pictures with Santa but we all sat down. The photographer put my son on Santa's lap and well I wont tell you how uncomfortable it is to have a 12 year old sitting on your lap. My son's facial expression said

We made it through it and woolah .... our picture was in our hands. I think next year we are going back to photo shoots without Santa.

Paige's FIRST birthday party

Well the time finally arrived ..... Paige's birthday.  I had planned this party for months but I had no idea how much work went into a child's birthday party. Back in the day you just took your child to Chuck E Cheese and called it a day ..... now a days its different. By the time my daughter's party was scheduled to begin, I was a nervous wreck. My husband told me over and over again to just enjoy myself. Finally after I said chilllllleeeeeee and released everything,  I actually did have a good time. I also think the guests that came also had a great time.

Paige had a Dr. Seuss theme. I think I did a great job of pulling her theme off. Everything was red and blue. We had Dr Seuss food and games.  After the day was done I realized some things that I could have done to make it better but overall it was pretty good.

One of the things that I loved the most was Paige's signing book. Upon arriving the guests were asked to sign Dr Seuss' Happy Birthday to you. Out of everything, this particular item was my favorite. I believe the guests loved it too. They wrote awesome things to Paige and what a great thing for her to have for the future.

More than anything. Paige had a great time! I cant wait for next year. I am already kicking around ideas. Happy Birthday Paige!
