Paige takes on Moore Haven

I'm from a small town called Moore Haven. My son had the pleasure of spending a lot of time in my hometown and he loves it. Paige has not. With the death of my uncle, I am traveling back and forth to Moore Haven to make funeral preparations and just be there for my mother. That means Paige is traveling back and forth to Moore Haven. Moore Haven aint ready. The first time she went she wore beautiful gold sandals. Big NO NO! She could not explore the way that she wanted to. So this time I made sure she had on sneakers and an outfit that allowed her to play, get sweaty and still look relatively cute.

The one thing that I love about my hometown is that its small. Children are able to go outside and play with NO WORRIES! I'm not the only one who loves this ... Paige does too. She had a blast running around my grandmother's back yard. She enjoyed walking around with my great-aunt ... even if she was on her baby leash. She even enjoyed running around my grandmother's house. Moore Haven now holds a special place in Paige's heart as well.

When we finally came home I thought Paige would be knocked out but she was still on level 10. I think her and J had a good day! Just look at that smile.

Green, Geen, Gen!

My husband has done a phenomenal job with Paige.  He works so hard on colors, numbers and ABC's with her. Today when I arrived home from work, he was beyond excited. He said Kim you have to see this! He grabbed my tub of rollers and I watched in amazement as my daughter picked up a roller and said GEEN! (Translation: Green)  

I think my screaming scared her! She is only 14 months old!!!!!! I quickly grabbed my cell phone and asked her to do it again. She did not disappoint. While every color is "geen" right now, the fact that she is focusing, thinking and able to distinguish puts her way ahead on the development scale. We have a little genius on our hands .... maybe Famu at 16? lol Just kidding!  Watch the video ... what do you think?
