I dont usually celebrate Halloween but this year I said why not. I have a girl and let's face it ... girls have the BEST costumes. I really wanted Paige to be a bumble bee....I was just obsessed with the concept. But as with everything I waited until the day of Halloween to buy her costume. I went to Toys R Us...nothing. I went to Target ... nothing. I went to Walmart ... something but literally EVERY Walmart costume was UGLY!
No thank you. Paige and ugly do not mix. So finally I started to cry. I felt bad. My procrastination was going to cause my baby to not trick or treat for the first time. It really was not that serious but to me, at the time, it was! So I ended up at Walgreens ... expecting nothing .... and what do I find as soon as I walk through the door.....a bee costume!!!!!
I snatched that thing up so fast and ran home. I still did not know what to expect but as soon as Paige was done, the clouds moved to the side ... the sun got a little brighter and the world smiled for a second. She was simply adorable!
Jalen threw on a wig and we headed to Spookyville. I had never gone before but we all had a great time. It's basically a fall festival with trick or treating included. I saw beautiful and creative halloween costumes. I definitely have to step my game up next year. Paige was able to taste her first lollipop
and she walked away with a ton of candy that she wont be able to eat
But more importantly, she had a blast with her brother
and that's all that I could ever hope for.
Happy Halloween
