No Rules at GRANDMA's house

My kids love my mama's house. They literally get away with murder. Things that I could not even dream about doing are totally accepted when they walk in the house. My son has free range to do whatever. His breakfast is served to him bright and early on a tray ... and it's always his favorite: grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and orange juice. My mother always hands him the remote control and allows him privacy to enjoy his breakfast and watch television. He is treated like a little king. When we go to my mother's house my son knows that my mother is going to go out and buy his favorite snacks(if she knows we are coming) and that he is not going to have to lift a finger at his grandma's house. He's so

that its not even funny. Previously Paige had never experienced this because my mom had a dog and Paige had a reaction to that dog when she was four months. But that has all changed now!

This weekend my daughter learned that there are NO rules at GRANDMA's house! What mom says does not matter ....... what dad thinks does not matter ............. she can do whatever she wants at grandma's house ........ and she loved it. First she rearranged my mom's house.

She threw magazines everywhere, threw balls and just basically created a mess. When I tried to stop her my mom said "That's ok! Leave that baby alone!" Paige had a ball. After church and dinner, my mom took Paige outside to play. Now the rule at OUR house is Paige is NOT allowed to play in dirt. Grandma did not get the memo ........... or I should say she got the memo, ripped it up, stomped on it, burned it, and pretended she never read it because grandma not only allowed Paige to play in dirt, she encouraged it. Dirt dont hurt ... it's good for you. Yep that was my mama's motto. And what could I do? Nothing. I just watched. I watched my daughter laugh, throw dirt, play catch with her grandma, play with dirt, laugh, lick her dirty hands

Wait??? Did you just do that? Yeah she did. And then grinned at me. By the time we decided it was time to pack up and go home, my child looked like she was auditioning for a role as a raccoon in a play that I knew nothing about. She was sooooo dirty but so happy at the same time.

Paige said I'm dirty ... AND lol
